Bao Le Khac, MD, PhD

  • Dr. Bao is faculty member and specialist on lung diseases at the Department of Internal Medicine, University of Medicine and Pharmacy at HCMC. He is now responsible for the development of the new curriculum in 3 clinical years at the school faculty of medicine.
  • Dr. Bao is also vice head to the department of lung diseases, Nhan Dan Gia Dinh teaching hospital. To pursue his commitment to capacity building for health professionals, he was one of the five founders of HCMC Respiratory Society in 2007 and became its secretary general until 2014, when he joined to build Vietnam Respiratory Society and played role as its executive member until now.
  • In 2016, Dr. Bao won the prestigious US Fulbright two-year scholarship to learn at Harvard University. At Harvard, he attended the highly competitive course “Adaptive Leadership” and became the first Asian physician working as teaching assistant to this well-known course later on. After obtaining his Master in Medical Education from Harvard in 2018, he came back to Vietnam and actively participated in the school curriculum reform. He continued his passion for adaptive leadership by sharing it in classes on adaptive leadership organized by Viet Nam Education Fund and Fulbright University as official invited faculty.
